CAN'T MAKE THE EVENT, IT'S NOT TO LATE TO DONATE
100% of ALL donations get donated to New Image Youth Center (Helping at risk youth in Central Florida with after school education, and much more) and Heart to Heart a Community Care Organizaton (helping homeless women and children with difficult life situations).
Statistics show that one in five individuals in Central Florida are hungry and mal-nourished. RFH CEO and founder, Chris Goyzueta, says with enthusiasm, “I am looking forward to helping those in need while providing an inspiring evening of live music, peace, and change for the Central Florida community.” This year, RFH will plug in Saturday, October the 6th at The Plaza Live, with multiple stages, food trucks, crafts, and our first ever art wall created by kids in the community.
Five-time Grammy winning bassist Victor Wooten will be headlining the RFH, bringing his creative and soulful melodies to the heart of Central Florida. Wooten hit the worldwide scene in 1990 as a founding member of the super-group Bela Fleck and the Flecktones. He has won every major award given to a bass guitarist including Bassist of the Year in Bass Player Magazine. Receiving the honor three times, Victor Wooten is the only person to be voted Bassist of the Year more than once. In 2011, Rolling Stone Magazine voted Victor one of the Top Ten Bassists of all time.
Also featured at this years Rock for Hunger is an art wall created by children from Ms. Perkins class at Ferncreek Elementary School.
Also on display and up for raffle will be the above quilt put together by Sheila Colvin, wife of Plaza Live General Manager, Kirk Colvin. These are shirts donated by artists that have performed at the Plaza Live in the past. Hope to see everyone on Saturday!!!
