Featured Artist of the Week: G-Ro

To me, he may be a great friend and business partner, but to you, he could be Greg Rollett or G-Ro. They all might be the same person, but each embodies and makeup an amazing human being, a hard worker, and, believe it or not, an exceptional White rapper. For those who are unfamiliar with both "Greg," the social media and music marketing guru and Rock for Hunger Board Member, and "G-Ro," the local hip-hop celebrity that changed the local scene as the frontman of the band StuMpP, you are missing out on knowing an individual with a lot of talent and a promising future ahead of him.

Throughout the last few years, G-Ro has planned, performed, and even MC-ed at many Rock for Hunger events. His nonstop schedule as an internet genius has somehow not slowed him down from his commitment to Rock for Hunger and all of the individuals in need. Greg still finds the time to come out to mentor R4H's "Job Training" program that takes place on certain Wednesdays of each month. It's hard to believe that with the millions of projects that G-Ro is currently spawning, he still has enough time to sit on the Board of Rock for Hunger.

Although G-Ro, the rapper, has disappeared and taken a back seat to Greg's professional career these days, his talent for music has never surrendered and still flurries during quality opportunities. For instance, several months ago, G-Ro came back from a short retirement to perform at Rock for Hunger's "10,000 Villages" event. This Friday night, he is making another appearance at an Endagon concert at AKA Lounge.

Friday night will not only feature the unforgettable pleasantries of G-Ro, but also the acoustic charm of Chris Dagnese and Daylight District; the latter of which is an exceptional rock and hip-hop fused band. The show will only be $5 and will begin at 10:00pm.
