It takes a lot to persuade me to get up and dance. Historically, my recalcitrant movements are only incited by funk, soul, and the tastiest hip-hop grooves. While the Fling, may not present all of those attributes, they possess enough of the infectious ingredients that are capable of convincing my appendages into rhythmic competition. In the end, both my body and my ears have thanked me for introducing the Fling to them.
Self-proclaimed as a three-piece "rock and roll band," the Fling have been entertaining Florida crowds for the last few years. Their unique blend of blues, funk, and straight up rock and roll offer a large palette of music lovers more of what they love. There is no question that the band can play their instruments, craft mature songs, and captivate crowds.
It is songs like "Hold On," "Lighthouse," and "Wise" that highlight the Fling's passion and love for the art of music. The guitar licks shine through, the bass locks in, and the drumming sits deep in the pocket throughout each and every second of their music. The vocal melodies are something to not be neglected either. As a whole, the band have all of the write mechanisms in working condition to lead them to future success in the music industry.
Next week, on Thursday April 17th, The Fling will grace the Backbooth stage as part of the notorious Rock for Hunger Spring Concert. They will have the pleasure of sharing the stage with past Featured Artists' Union Made, Sugarfreemusic, and Chris Burns. Please refer to the flier below for more information on the event.
Do not miss your chance to see the Fling live. If you have an emergency and must miss the spring concert (you should still buy a ticket anyway), you can see the Fling at each of the following events below:
