A Conversation with the Hush Sound
>> Tuesday, April 29, 2008
Welcome to another episode of Rock for Hunger Conversations. We had one crazy weekend with Bike Fest for three days, but we pulled off with a very great fundraiser for us. On the opening night, after just 30 minutes of sleep, I drove all the way to Leesburg, about one hour and 15 minutes from my house, to set up, and work in the heat all day. Finally, I made in time to bring food to Downtown Orlando for another hour ride, and then off to the House of Blues in Downtown Disney for another 45 minute drive, to interview the amazing band The Hush Sound. I got to catch half of their very powerful set that night. If you were there, you would have thought they were headlining the show. The crowd was singing, clapping, dancing, and going crazy to every single song that seemed like a hit song from the band. The Hush Sound is featured on Fueled By Ramen/Decaydance along with other greats; Fall Out Boy, Panic At the Disco, Paramore, Gym Class Heroes, Cobra Starship, and many other amazing artists. John Janick and his crew seem to find nothing but the most amazing young talent out there. The Hush Sound were actually discovered by Pete Wenz from Fall Out Boy, and Ryan Ross from Panic at the Disco. They are currently on tour for their third album “Goodbye Blues” which was just released last month. Ladies and Gentlemen I present to you Greta & Chris from The Hush Sound:
