The Week in Rock for Hunger (3/3/2008)

Thank you all for another AWESOME week and AWESOME Month in Rock for Hunger. In February we hit the following numbers:

Over 150 Volunteers served
Over 300 hours served
Over $550 raised
Over 800 meals served
Over 1,000 hits to our Blog once again

Thank you all for making this possible, and for another great successful month in Rock for Hunger full of growth. Now here are some excellent events we have for you this week.

MONDAY – Conversation with Jose Gonzalez (Blog)
Check the Blog for the interview with Jose Gonzalez from Sweden, who performed to a SOLD OUT show at the Social this past weekend. This should be up before noon.

MONDAY – Food & Love for the Homeless in Orlando, FL
Join our Food Sharing, and be there to talk to those in need, and lend them a ear, and serve a meal. We meet at the corner of Magnolia and Washington at 6:45pm.

TUESDAY – 200 SHIRTS THAT ROCK FOR HUNGER @ the Social
Join us at the Social after 10pm and come to sign our list of 200 Shirts that Rock for Hunger. Wear your Rock for Hunger gear, and help us get our next shirts paid for by the host of Expo-Tees. This will be a Art Exhibit/T-Shirt Expo. It’s a FREE Event. The Social is located at 54 N. Orange Ave. Orlando, FL 32801.

THURSDAY – Rock for Hunger Bands Lona & Poverty Branch (Orlando, FL)
Support one of the Rock for Hunger Artists Lona and/or Poverty Branch this Thursday. Lona will be performing at AKA Lounge located at 68 E. Pine St. Orlando, FL 32801, and Poverty Branch will be at Back Booth located at 37 W. Pine St. Orlando, FL 32801. You can also catch both shows, and see them both.

FRIDAY – Tutors & Meals (Orlando, FL)
Help us give the kids one more last push before the FCAT. Join us for Tutors & Meals from 3:30pm to 5pm. For more info, e-mail us at volunteer@rockforhunger.org.

FRIDAY – Lounge Battles Kicks off at Taste
Check out Florida’s biggest Hip-Hop Festival Lounge Battles from Friday to Sunday and check out MC Battles, Tag Team Battles, Producer Battles, DJ’s, and Battle of the Bands.
