Featured Artist of the Week: FourtyFour Down

>> Wednesday, March 19, 2008

This week's featured artist doesn't just have one of the coolest looking MySpace pages around, but also one of the most well-known hard rock presences in Orlando. After disbanding and disappearing for several months, FourtyFour Down is back in business. With the first of their newly recorded tracks up on their MySpace page, everyone has the opportunity to indulge in some hard rock beauty. The track is called "New Sky Burning" and the demo is slated for release in the very near future.

So, what makes FourtyFour Down's comeback such a monumental event? Allow Rock for Hunger to count the reasons:
- They have performed at multiple Rock for Hunger events.
- They have continuously gone above and beyond to spread the Rock for Hunger name and mission.
- Dusty Cross, the band's bass player, was nominated for a Rock for Hunger award in November for outstanding effort.

Now with an altered lineup and a more focused sound, there is no limit to what the band and Rock for Hunger will accomplish in the future. Time will only tell how the two entities will join forces and change the world together.

Please check out FourtyFour Down's MySpace page and give their ferocious hard rock sound a listen. After you do that, check them out live. Their concert schedule is really starting to heat up again. Refer to the list of shows posted below:
