The Week in Rock for Hunger (2/11/08)

This weekend we had an absolutely fantastic first ever Rock for Hunger Angels Party Interest Session. The big event of the week other than our weekly Volunteer events in Orlando, Florida is the big Rock the Vote Concert with KG & the Band, Chris Burns, and The Fling at the University of Central Florida, UCF! Here are this weeks Events in the week in Rock for Hunger:

MONDAY – Food for the Homeless (Orlando, FL)
Our longest running volunteer event in Orlando, FL as always kicks off at 6:45pm till 8:15 or 8:30pm. Come out for our weekly food sharing and love for the homeless in Downtown Orlando.

MONDAY – Food Sharing Committee
Take part in one of our committees with our first monthly meeting for this committee. We will be meeting at 8:15pm or 8:30 immediately after the food sharing. For more info e-mail Chris at cgoyzueta@rockforhunger.org.

WEDNESDAY – UCF Rock the Vote! (University of Central Florida)
Go check out the great Rock the Vote event at UCF with some of our favorites KG & the Band, Chris Burns, and the Fling. This event will take place at Memory Mall in front of the New UCF Arena. Event starts at 6pm

FRIDAY – Tutors & Meals (Orlando, FL)
Come join us helping sharpen the literacy and math skills for less fortunate children in the Parramore area of Orlando. This takes place from 3:30pm to 5pm. E-mail Chris for more info: cgoyzueta@rockforhunger.org.

FRIDAY – SKIP of Nonsense Records at the Social (Orlando, FL)
SKIP is performing at the Social with Summerbirds in the Cellar at the Social. If you have not seen Summerbirds, you gotta get out and see them. They are currently working with the same management as Paramore, Whole Wheat Bread, and Solillaquists of Sound. This will be a great show along with Rock for Hunger Vet SKIP from Nonsense Records. Show kicks off at 9:30pm.

SATURDAY – The Legendary JC’s at the Social (Orlando, FL)
The great legendary JC’s hit the Social on Orange Ave in Downtown Orlando. Don’t miss this great Orlando Jam Band. You will be entertained, and you will be amazed! Show start at 10pm.
