Thanksgiving Breakfast for the Homeless

>> Wednesday, November 21, 2007

It is Turkey time tomorrow! I’m really looking forward to sharing some food with my family and good friends tomorrow. Thanksgiving is always one of my favorite days! It is really important to remember what you are thankful for on Thanksgiving as well, and why we celebrate it. It’s not all about eating as much as you can. It’s about giving back to those in need as well. Everyone deserves to have a great thanksgiving, and feel like they are loved.

Tomorrow morning we are going to share some food with our newest family members that we visit every Monday since March of this year. We will be serving a Thanksgiving Breakfast to the homeless which will include: Eggs, Bacon, Sausage, Oatmeal, Orange Juice, and many other goodies. Please feel free to come out and serve food with us, and stick around to talk to people, and give them some company for an hour for the Thanksgiving holiday.

We meet at 8:15am on the Corner of Magnolia and Washington in Downtown Orlando (Parking Lot), and head over to the post office to serve (one block down) once all the troops and food have arrived. We are expecting around our usual average of about 100 homeless people. For any questions or other info please e-mail Greg or Ben (click on the names).

Hiya!. !! Happy Thanksgiving!! :) :)
Thanksgiving is 1 of my favorite holidays, and every yr I like to get into the mood-extend the holiday, since it were-by reading "Thanksgiving novels." Unsurprisingly, most of these stories are mostly about family and friends, about coming together to heal old hurts and giving them thanks for the gift of love. . . . *
