Taking it back to Africa one more time: KG & the Band @ Taste
>> Saturday, November 17, 2007
It is truly great to be part of such a talented music scene. Last night KG & the Band put on another outstanding performance. Also very impressive was opening act Chris Burns. Chris Burns performed a 30 minute solo set with a loop machine. It was amazing when he started making very authentic trumpet sounds with just his lips. He is an extremely talented musician. Chris will have a feature song on the upcoming Rock for Hunger Compilation Album to be released between December 2007 and January of 2008.
Check out Chris Burns at one of his upcoming Shows:
Nov 21st @ Tanqueray’s – Orlando, FL
Nov 23rd @ Central Station – Oralndo, FL
Nov 27th @ Underground Bluz (UCF) – Orlando, FL
After Chris Burns, KG & the Band performed another outstanding set. Like always he got people dancing, singing, drinking, and taking it back to Africa. KG is truly one of a kind performers, and it is a great honor to have him part of the Rock for Hunger family. The band is getting tighter by the minute. It is truly great to see how far they have come. By the end of 2008 they will be one of Central Florida’s biggest new bands. G-Ro, Clara, Kraesly, and myself came out to the show to represent the Rock for Hunger crew. KG’s new album “Live in 06” is also now available. I heard it for the first time on the way home last night. t is one of the most well recorded local live albums I have heard yet. Awesome job KG! “Tuko Pamoja” – We Are One
