Rock for Hunger coming to Ten Thousand Villages in Winter Park, FL
>> Thursday, November 29, 2007

A new Rock for Hunger event coming on Thursday December 13th at Ten Thousand Villages in Winter Park, FL. This will be a more relaxed event. A little change from our Rock & Roll, and Hip-Hop Concerts. This will be a more chilled, and educational event. We will have some special guest speakers, speaking on behalf of Rock for Hunger, and Ten Thousand Villages. There will be some great finger foods available for everyone who comes, and of course some live music. We are Rock for Hunger! We can’t leave the live music out. There will be some quick special performances by Angela from Lona, Chris Burns, and the return of G-Ro from the former Orlando, FL legendary band StuMpP (Now G-Ro from Rock for Hunger). G-Ro will put on a special performance with an acoustic guitar player and singer. Expect to hear some familiar songs. For those of you who have not seen Angela or Chris Burns, you are in for a great night of entertainment, and awareness.
Ten Thousand Villages will be donating 10% of all their sales to Rock for Hunger. They have some really cool stuff. Do your Christmas shopping at Ten Thousand Villages, and help those living in poverty and homelessness both locally with Rock for Hunger, and globally with Ten Thousand Villages. They are a really great organization. Please be sure to visit their site. We will have more details, and a flyer for you to post everywhere very soon.
Tomorrow we will be at the Jackson Center for our revamped Tutors & Meals program. We have two new members on board, Clara & Angela, who have improved this program, and have a great plan for success to help many children suffering from generational poverty. However, this program will be one step toward end child poverty in Central Florida, and soon many other places.
Have a wonderful Friday, and if you live in Orlando, FL I hope to see you at Tutors & Meals, and don’t forget to check for more info at the Rock for Hunger & Ten Thousand Villages Event.
Peace,
Chris G.
